My dearest Atomic Coworkers,

I want to let you all know that I gave Travis my 2 weeks notice, and my last day of employment will be August 31st, 2016.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the sale of the shop, and building of a new Atomic, but everything to do with the fact that I will be turning 30 next month, and have dreams of owning my own house, having a garden in the backyard, a small flock of chickens, and a big garage to work on my sweet cars. I realize that this just won't happen for us in Portland. My rental term is up at the end of the month, and Brandon and I are leaving Oregon for the southwest United States, where we hope to find living a bit more affordable, and the weather not so dreary.

It has been a pleasure working with all of you and over the last two years. I want to let you all know how grateful I am for having been given the opportunity to work for Atomic. As you probably can guess, it's not super easy for me to find a job in this industry, so thanks for giving me a chance! Because of all of you amazing humans who haven taken the time and had the patience to teach me, I have grown so much as a technician!! Maybe you don't know, but before I worked here, all I did was change oil on brand new Toyotas alongside a bunch of teenage boys on the Deslership's "Express Maintenance" team *cue eyeroll*... and now look what I can do! You all witnessed my "firsts" (on cars other than the 2 I own)... my first timing belt, clutch job, and valve cover gasket reseal! My first spark plug replacement even! You all watched me build an engine over in the corner of my shop, and every single one of you gave me advice and input and helped me succeed. I am SO GRATEFUL to have been a part of Atomic.

I wish you all the best with the transition to the new shop. It sounds like such an exciting opportunity to start over. That is exactly what I am searching for also.

With much love,

Sincerely,

Faye
